This one-storey branch library is organized around a secure, central courtyard. This courtyard accommodates many large summer programs for children which are located at this branch.

The design supports a proactive customer service model with small, mobile, and adjustable customer service points. Two community rooms, along with mobile display units and furniture, help facilitate a variety of programs within the library.

Green design features include radiant slab heating, heat recovery, and lighting control systems to interface day-lighting and artificial light. The project included extensive public consultation.

The project achieved LEED Gold.
