The renovation and expansion of the existing 1980 Scugog Public Library.

The revitalized library has a completely transformed character, one main entrance on the street facade, and it takes advantage of its setting in the waterfront park with views of Lake Scugog.

The library contains dedicated Teen and Children’s areas, a series of quiet study rooms, a fireplace lounge, computer training centre, seating, lounge spaces, and outdoor reading terraces. The library also includes the Kent Farndale Art Gallery, and a large, new community room complete with outdoor terrace.

The project included extensive public consultation. The library remained open during construction.

The project achieved LEED Silver.
